Between the Trees [11 Oct 2008|11:30am] So I am writing about one of my favorite bands, Between the Trees. The reason being that I love them <3. I would classify them as an indie/pop-rock type of band, with 5 members: Ryan (guitar/piano/lead vocals), Jeremy (bass), Josh B (Drums), Wes (Keys/synth/tamborine), and fill-in Josh J (guitar). What I love most about Between the Trees, since I sing myself, is Ryan's powerful voice and the melodies of their songs. I always think of Ryan as the male Hayley (Williams of Paramore). He always sounds great live and he also has the emotional inflections in his voice that really connects to the song. I've met the boys about 5 times or so, hung out with them once.. and they are so awesome. Pretty much the nicest people ever, specifically Jeremy. I haven't met Josh Jove yet, but I am sure he is rad. NOW.. go watch some live performances on youtube <3 speak

One pint of blood can save up to three lives [20 Jul 2008|10:49pm] Today me and Emily went to donate blood at the mall, there was a special blood drive going on where you get backstage passes for warped tour.. My hemoglobin was 11.8 which is too low to donate, it had to be 12.5. Emily was able to do it.. she wanted to conquer her fear of needles.. They wouldnt letme stay with her in the beginning, i wanted to be there for her cause she was afraid, but i was able to sneak on the exit after 15 mins or so and when i got there she was already done and she was so stoked.. She kept saying how it was so easy and she was so glad she did it. She ate cookies and drank apple juice before she got up out of the donation chair, then in the recovery area she drank a whole bottle of water and she was absolutely fine. After a few minutes they released her and we walked out of the blood mobile. I was going to go home right then, cause her parents and sister were shopping and she was going to join them but then I really had to go to the bathroom and so did she.. So we were walking into the mall and she was like you should come shopping with us until we have to leave, so I was like.. okay sure. We were walking to the bathroom and carrying a normal Amanda-Emily conversation, got into the bathroom, I went in first.. Well I got out of the bathroom stall and washed my hands and was waiting a few minutes for Emily, I even checked outside of the bathroom cause I thought maybe she beat me and got out of there since it was hot and crowded. When I came back in another minute passed and she walked out of the last stall. She was standing at the door and she said to me "come here I need to talk to you." so i didnt know what I was thinking then, I walked over to her and she started to lean into me and started falling and I grabbed her to try to keep her up and I asked her if she was joking.. cause she was seriously fine before.. and shes like no, and she was kind of convulsing and just shutting down.. so I helped her into a sitting position against the stall and grabbed her water bottle and had her drink some of it and she was better enough to stand, and I decided to bring her outside of the bathroom where it was cooler so we walked out with me supporting her by the side and we got out, I was looking for a bench when someone told me "oh we have a chair for her over here" so I turned and then Emily said "I cant see" so I immediately grabbed her and she fainted in my arms. I brought her down to the ground, she dropped the waterbottle which spilled everwhere and there were alot of people helping at this time, mall security, good samaritans and what not. I sprinted to the foodcourt to get her orange juice to drink and I got back and she was in and out of consciousness. I had to go through all of her things to get her ID for the authorities and I called her sister who was at the mall with their parents who didnt answer the phone. Emily was looking at me and i asked her if she could tell me her mom's phone number. She couldnt even respond. So Lindsay (her sister) called me back and I basically was like I need you to come to the bathrooms by the foodcourt, Emily fainted." So shes like okay and hung up right away to tell her parents. We had gotten her onto a chair in the middle of the mall walkway and she was slipping in and out, I kept talking to her and her eyes were closed but she was blinking, trying to stay awake. I told her I was right there, and that her parents were coming, and as I was talking to her, her mom came sprinting down the hall. So we were both talking to her, getting the orange juice into her, and she was able to talk again, told the mallcops her name and age, we then brought her to a chair in front of a fan and the cops came, gave her oxygen. She is doing much better now but it was the scariest thing i've ever seen. I am amazed how quickly everyone responded. I didnt once have to ask for help, people were just there. I cried the whole way home. that was really long. speak

[11 Dec 2003|06:17am] its really early.. im getting ready for school.. i had 2 back to back rehearsals last night which were each two hours long.. i cant even speak right now and zook is gonna kill me because we have rehearsal all from period 5 till 3.30 and i want to kill myself.. my voice is gone and hes gonna be pissed.. oh well.. oh yeah the bucs football team went to the state championships the other night but we lost =( so second in the state is pretty damn good.. also bucs cross country won states.. good job guys ;) 3 | speak

SCHOOL BLOWS [04 Sep 2003|06:58pm] [ mood | crazy ] on the fucking first and second day of school i have 55 algebra 2 problems and 3 chem honors worksheets ER and I FINALLY did my jury.. without cindy =( i did really well... i think zook my want me moved up now cause he was helping me on the written final today.. werd.. and he picked me for a solo today in choir.. boo yah.. kiss my ass nicki. me and rita are friends again.. im so glad.. she told me about her summer.. and she got to spend a weekend with BEYONCE.. thats so cool.. geez.. and she said her and jay z are dating.. he called her while she was there. werd YOUR SECRETS OUT BITCH.. anyway i have to study for a latin quiz tomorrow.. i have anoth 50 somthing questions for algebra 2 and one worksheet for chem.. bye.. ps.. i miss you jess 7 | speak

R.I.P. Madison [25 Aug 2003|08:58pm] Recently, a dear friend of Emily's passed away of old age.. This tribute is to mark how much this magnificant creature meant to alot of people. Madison, you will be dearly missed. You were so beautiful in your own way. Rest In Peace in doggy heaven! SSWS [20 Aug 2003|12:03pm] My friend Melissa asked me to pass this on.. so im posting it here since all my palace friends are basically on lj.. My name is Melissa Rose i've been a palace user since feb of 99. I've worked for various palaces over the years. I've owned the colorclan for years. the reason why i would like you to read my story is because in the future you may look for a palace host I do not want you to get ripped off. Sharp Sphere Web Solutions has been the worse horst around I was one of the oldest member till recently. Propmart one of the first palaces hosted by than has left them as well about a year before I did. You can even ask them how bad hosting SSWS was. I'm writing this to tell you my horrible experience with SSWS. A few years ago I was working at propmart as a God and my clan was living there. Many times I recall propmart always having to be shut down due to ssws technical problems.We suffered from serve lag.. I wanted my own palace and Anth of SSWS promised they got new systems and how they've improved and had good prices. I figured I'd give it a try well I own The Teen Hangout for years.. I can't not explain how bad the service was..Again serve lag when to many people got on. Many problems that caused us to always shut down so they can fix it. The problem is when I needed there help they weren't around. Because really it's a one man show. Anth is a teenager who runs this whole thing and his father owns it.He pretends to be his dad to seem more professional but i've figured out it was him. When you call there voicemail except no return call. They don't have a number for you to directly talk to them. Finally this year I said enough is enough I'm going to switch host. The thing with switching host is changing the name and redoing the whole palace and I didn't want to do that. But now i realize it's worth it. You hear about those great palaces like fastpalaces and palacebox look at the great business there doing and the no lag and they never crash and have friendly and helpful services. Maybe your palace doesn't have lag just yet or many problems but once you start getting a lot of people on you will realize they won't be here when you need them. if a hacker ever comes and hurts ur palace you have to wait for ANTH to get on. There quick to take your money but not quick enough to help you when you need it.If your prop file crashes and your palace is down business goes bad.People dont wan't to go to a palace with bad hosting service they like reliable palace that are always on and good. In reality ssws doesn't have many customers compared to other hosting companies. I'm hear writing to you to save you from all the SSWS drama. I've been there before. Maybe if enough people leave that company they will either change or quit for good. Right now I'm not seeing neither till the customer take action.
